Austin Traces' New Nurse Practitioner

Austin Trace welcomes Shannon Caruso, RN, MSN, FNP with Cornerstone Nurse Practitioners!

Shannon has joined our Medical Director, Dr. Rick Chamberlain and our professional staff in her nurse practitioner role to increase and deliver high quality patient care to those residing at our facility. Shannon has over twelve years experience as a nurse and a hospital background in the cardio vascular intensive care, endoscopy unit and progressive care unit. She will be at our facility routinely through the week and available to our families, residents, nursing and medical staff Monday through Friday for any assistance she can be to assure that our residents are getting the care that they deserve!

Shannon grew up on a farm in Indiana. She has been married for 22 years to her husband, Keith. They have three beautiful daughters, Lita 19, Mia 17, and Sophia 12 years old. She loves being outside whether that's mowing, working in her yard or fixing the house. Her nickname is Mrs. Fix it! Shannon has been in health care since 2003 with special interests in diabetes and heart failure in disease management.
