Halloween Fun at Austin Trace!
November 14, 2022
It was so exciting to host Trick-or-Treat at Austin Trace with our friends, families and neighbors! We are always so joyous to bring our community together for a fun evening of boos, laughs and, most importantly, candy!
The Halloween celebrations started on Halloween day. Residents enjoyed a reverse trick-or-treat followed by a Halloween social. For reverse trick-or-treat, staff members went room to room passing out treats. Our residents enjoyed seeing the costumes up close and receiving snacks and trinkets. The staff did an awesome job getting creative with their costumes!
The Halloween social was next and included a costume contest, popcorn, cotton candy and Halloween music. The top winner of the costume contest was Rachael, who was dressed as momma from Mama’s Family TV show. We also really enjoyed the Therapy Department and their coordinated Minion-theme costumes!
We appreciate everyone for contributing to our candy collection and those that were able to bring their children! Our residents loved getting to see all of their costumes and interacting with the kids. A big shoutout to all of our team members who worked the evening of this event! Everyone was so helpful in making sure our residents and their families had a great time.
These events are so important to help residents feel at home by participating in holiday traditions. We hope to make this an annual event since this event went so well. We're already looking forward to planning for next year! Another big thank you goes to our friends and families for making it a special Halloween for our residents.
