Community Concert at Austin Trace
October 3, 2022
Great weather! Great music! Great neighbors! All three made for a perfect combination for a fantastic "night out" for our Yankee Trace neighbors to join Austin Trace for an outdoor concert. Mr. Chris and the Cruisers supplied the music, Rosie's Diner served the barbeque and Sweeney's Pub poured the libations! With a large audience filling the courtyard, the music was a wide variety from all decades that gave everyone the opportunity to walk down memory lane while the lawn provided a dance floor for those who wanted to "twist again or watusi."
Sweeney's Pub was alive with those mingling, sharing stories and enjoying beverages. The delicious barbeque was smoked and prepared by our own Stacy Gibson who works in Foundations Central Intake Department, and her husband, Charlie, who, by the way, prepared some mean baked beans that were a huge crowd pleaser! Special thanks to them for making the food a hit!
It all comes down to taking the last days of summer and squeezing in some fun! Our Austin Trace facility has shown it definitely knows how to host an event. We love showing off its beauty, its Culture of Care and all it has to offer when short- or long-term care may be needed to those in our surrounding community. Our neighbors always enjoy sharing time, laughter and just plain ole' fun!
We're proud to be a part of the Yankee Trace neighborhood and if you live there, our event was featured in the October edition of the Yankee Trace Stroll along with a save the date for their next event, Witches Night Out Purse Bingo happening in October.
